Once a month blogger?!? Lol

I always forget to blog, just too much I'm doing. Lately I can't sleep at night, hence the 2:30am blogging status'. I am pretty busy for a "stay at home Mom" it's a good thing I don't have a "real" job! Lol, anyway, ice ice baby should have been the title for this blog! We have had nothing but chilly weather and ice for the last couple of days. My girls didn't have school Friday, and got a 2hour delay for Monday. We had plenty of friend time an even cometeled some crafts. Also, this is the first Monday in quite some time Destiny hasn't been "sick." I think it's a lack of sleep for that girl! Who knows, just my opinion and observation!

Here is one craft us girls did. Mine is on the right, the left is the one Shannon found to guide us on Pinterest. It was fun and had its challenges. My Mom stopped by tonight and LOVED it :) Here are a few pics from this last weekend.

These munchkins love messing with my tree! Luckily all the breakable stuff is at the top! ;-) They had some tough times this weekend, but they are close and this won't be the last time. Dallas can be so dang headstrong and stubborn! (No clue as to where on earth he could get this from)

I have such a blast playing with these two! I love them dearly and I am so happy my precious niece lives only a street away! The Poe's spent the night Saturday but I don't have any pictures from that! Lance & I were supposed to go to his Christmas party, and the Poe's were going to watch Mr. Dallas, but it was cancelled due to the weather. John took Dallas to the movies to see Frozen anyway. They ate popcorn & drank soda, he sure does know the way to my kids heart! The girls were very good this weekend too! They literally stayed in there pjs all weekend and cleaned out their closet & drawers ON THEIR OWN! Pretty impressive, be jealous! I am so blessed to be in there life and be their Mom!!! I wouldn't want it any other way. We all have our little spats here and there, but at the end of the day, I tuck my girls in and remind them how much I love them every night :) Dallas always looks forward to his Daddy coming home and playing with him! Lance didn't get to miss anytime at work with all the ice and conducted business as usual!

This sweet girl has always done this when I get the tree out and put the skirt on. I enjoy delaying the presents, because then there's no room for her.

Church was cancelled this Sunday due to the ice and I really did miss not going. I look forward to cowboy church!! Here are a few pics from the past Sunday.

This was the Saturday night before church. We went to Edohana and grabbed Sweet Frog fro-yo!! Yumminess in my belly!
Oh by the way...speaking of belly, mine is getting bigger and it's not a good thing!! I HAVE GOT TO GET ON MY GRIND!!!!! I think my birth control does something, because ever since I started taking it regularly, I'm packing on weight like a bear about to hybernate!!! Not cool, or the look I'm going for!! I'm planning to go to the Woodcreek gym more often!!

I totally love this picture of my snuggle boys!! I am squished and don't sleep well, but I LOVE waking up next to this smiley boy every morning!! He's a handful, but he's my handful and I wouldn't trade him for nothing!
Gotta shut these eyes and get some sleep! I have an alarm set to wake the girls up at 6:00am for school, that's right around the corner!

Bad blogger

When you don't make time for blogging, you have too much to say and no clue where to start!! I'm going to go with what I've been working on as of late! I have been a crafting machine :)
I bought a round board from Hobby Lobby and made this little snoman.

I have also been wanting to try painting on burlap, so there's that! I have seen some cute stuff in the stores, but way too expensive for my liking, especially when I know I can come home and make my own! Anyway, this is going to be like a door hanger.

Also have some Santa letters in the making! I want to find cute embellishments for the belt buckle.

I bought some $5 fake Toms and Five Below a couple of weekends ago and wanted to try my paint skills out! I went with more "Fall" colors and they turned out okay. I like the ones I see in Etsy much better but can't justify spending close to a $100 when I made mine for only $5!!

Dallas and I took poor Layla girl to the vet to get a shot today. She was stinky all over again and won't stop scratching herself! I sure wish I knew what she was allergic to! She got 2 different shots so hopefully she will be fine until her next shot in 2 weeks. That girl is so high maintaince!!!

This toddler was soooo helpful today! He loves Layla and always wants to play with her, but she still isn't interested. He has been a hot mess...I was looking at him in the vet, and he had a nasty nose and needs a hair cut desperately, with dried slobber on both sides if his mouth! His jeans were close to flooding and his voice sounds funny because he is so stuffy!  I couldn't believe he looked like that, but he fights me so often now I "try" to pick my battles!
He has been fight some congestion and a cough that's going around. It's been a week now...a full 7 days!
(He can be clingy, needy, grumpy, and just plain mean when he's sick)
He isn't eating well and looks extra skinny to me :( poor thing has to dress cute because skinny and pale isn't my favorite!

Sunday: Mom and I enjoyed cowboy church alone, grabbed lunch at Taco Cabana, then headed to Casa View Thrift in Garland. I got 5 sweaters to cut the sleeves off for boot socks and a few Christmas goodies! Here are my Santa's I bought!

The first picture he is like 3 feet tall and gorgeous! The 2nd picture he is about a foot tall, but just as cute. Mom and I got home and Lance had just put Dallas down for a nap and wanted to go to the gym. Mom and I rented The Heat on OnDemand which was absolutely hilarious!!! We laughed so much and had such a great girls day! Lance came home with Chipotle for us all and you already know I didn't waste no time chowin' down ;-) which is why I have gained aoooo much dang weight!!! Sucks, and I have to get my butt in gear, literally! I love to exercise & run...just have to make time in my day!!

Saturday: Dallas & I slept in :) I did some chores around the house and let him play until close to time to meet my Mom at Hobby Lobby to get supplies for all the Christmas crafts I had been pinning on Pinterest! We went to Kirklands first to look around and get some inspiration! When we got to Hobby Lobby I had so many exciting ideas running through my head, I had to make a list in my phone to keep up! Lol...didn't help that Dallas had this mole/ferret type stuffed animal singing Christmas songs on full blast! It was so loud I kept begging him to turn it off! We ran home and picked up Daddy, Arielle & Zoe for dinner at Logans steakhouse. It's pretty good but not the same as Saltgrass. We were looking for a calmer less packed atmosphere. Dallas was in rare form after a 3 hour binge shopping spree at Hobby Lobby.

Friday: I went to Shannon's house to help clean and decorate a little bit! I snapped this pic for Lance because he said he hasn't seen Presley in awhile and to send him a picture which I thought was sweet. I can't believe how these kiddos are just growing up right before my eyes!! Presley is seriously eating anything and everything and is such a happy baby girl!! I love her to pieces and keep praying for her family! They have had a rough couple of weeks with 3 deaths in the same family :( Real tear jerker right there! I miss seeing all there sweet smiling faces every weekend and hope for them to catch a break!!

Saturday 10-12-13

It started out to be such a relaxing day! I got to dye my hair and Dallas slept in a little bit! Arielle had a game against the Panthers at 2. There game had a 45 minute delay during the game due to lightning in the area. I left early with Dallas and we headed home. The Poe's had come by and we were going to go shopping together for a little bit but Arielle was supposed to have a 2 hour practice after the game. They decided to forgo shopping and enjoyed a little Mexican snack with us!! We stopped at the place in downtown Royse City. We had plans to surprise Scotty at Dave and Busters for his 30th birthday later that evening.

It was a fun night and enjoyed seeing everyone. Kiddos had to leave at 11, so Lance and I headed out :) Arielle spent the night with Haley and Destiny was at her grandparents house for the weekend.

Slacker I am!

I have been really bad at updating my blog lately! Oops! Sunday, Lance and I got to go the Cowboy game! It was my first game at the new stadium, and it was pretty awesome!! We left early and tailgated with a few of Lance's buddy's from work.
We threw the football (one of my favorite things to do!) as well as played corn hole, which was also my first time! The game was against the redskins and I actually payed attention! The stadium is beautiful and so different than Texas stadium was.

We had a blast and the Cowboys won! So every Redskin fan wearing their jersey got a "good game" on the booty by yours truly! I am so random sometimes!! I may or may not have had a few beers ;-) my parents took Dallas, Arielle & Zoe to lunch at Torchey's Tacos and then the Arboretum for some fun.
This last picture is by far my FAVORITE! What a ham!! The kiddos had fun with Mimi & Umpy, we are blessed to have them in our lives!!! I am thankful I have a safe place for my munchkins to go and enjoy themselves with good people who love them!

NEW Additions!!

Long time no blog! Here's a quick catch up of new family members :)
First we had to build the new tank before bringing the new fish home.
Then we got to pick out our fish. We went for 3 Glofish :) They are pretty cool, they glow under the blue led light...and 2 Black Molly's.

Adding the fish a little at a time :)
So far I have kept all 5 fish alive :) I'm doing pretty good!!!

We also added another member to the Smith Family!
Meet Boss Hog Smith! He is an English Bulldog. 11 weeks, wrinkly and about as cute as they come! We have had him a little over a week, and he's quite the chewer. I have to stay on his little hiney.
Of course Lance and the kids absolutely LOVE him! (He reassures me...no more babies!!)
Dallas showing Boss the ropes!

Last but not least, the most important addition of all: we had my sister-in-laws reveal today!! So we will welcome a sweet baby girl in February :) I can't wait to meet her!

So exciting!!! It was an amazing day with family and friends. Little Kenzie is going to be such a loving and helpful big sister!
