Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday, what a memorable day! We skipped out on church this morning and caught a pretty early(for us) breakfast. Lance, Dallas, Arielle and myself (Destiny was at her grandparents of course) went to Denny's and had a super unhealthy breakfast. Do egg whites count as a diet food?? lol, Arielle is obsessed with drinking my coffee?!?! So, I let her have her own cup today! Dallas ate really well too!

Lance said I was taking "sneaky pictures" because he didn't know I snapped this one. I love it, they are too cute! Nothing has changed in the last couple of days, Dallas is still right up his Daddy's butt! Lance loves it, and I enjoy the break too! Win/win situation :)

I am glad I got these few pictures though, Dallas' outfit was too hot for today! We got home and he changed into shorts and a t-shirt immediately! We watched Shrek Ever After and relaxed. Daddy had the luxury of taking a nap, while Dallas, Arielle and myself played a little. It was such a low stress enjoyable day. I couldn't be more grateful! I made broccoli cheese rice casserole and corn bake, while Mom and Robby had the responsibility of the ham and taters! I ofter wonder when I'll be ready to take on more duties...if I had to guess I'd say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." We are doing good to be where we're at!! Although joking aside, I was pretty good at my dishes. After dinner, we hid the eggs and let the kids hunt for them. Dallas loved finding the eggs with his Daddy and putting them in his basket. The girls also has a good time searching high and low. We stayed outside until dark!! We jumped on the trampoline, played in the sand, ate colored eggs, pulled weeds, blew bubbles, and really enjoyed the company of one another on such a special day! There is such a joy in seeing your kids with smiles and getting to spend all day together...just playing and hanging out. Tomorrow isn't always promised and life is simply too short for shenanigans. I envy those close to their in-laws and wish things were different for my children and myself. Time heals all wounds and what's meant to be will. In the words of the Great Korie Smith, It is what it is :) I think I made this up. After a three day weekend, tomorrow 's Monday and it's back to the grind. I seem to be hovering over losing 7-9 pounds and need to drop more weight quicker. This week consists of eating better, exercising, laundry, cleaning, getting ready for Destiny's 14th birthday party and being the best Mom and housewife I can be! I could tell this weekend when I didn't work out, I actually missed it! OMG, why am I boring y'all with that?!? Time for bed! P.S. I just had a sweet little boy tip-toe in here and climb in bed with his Mommy and Daddy! He's already snuggled up with me and out like a light. Perfect end to an EGG-cellent day! :)

My whole wide world

Late night, but Dallas is finally out for the count. Which could only mean one thing...time for this Mama to complete her blog for back to back nights! I'm getting better :) I want to have this blog to one day show my kiddos what I had to say while they were growing up! Modern day diary at its finest! So tonight is a reflection on sweet baby bubba! He is getting so big and smart, it catches me off guard sometimes! Today on the way home he said to me, "homework?" I guess insinuating he had homework of some sort!?! He listens to the conversations between the girls for sure! Then tonight, he went to his drawer in the cabinet and asked for paper & crayons. I gave them to him and he sat at his desk and reminded me, "homework." He is so funny! He also has a habit of saying, "I will" when replying to something I am saying to him. It's like all of the sudden he is growing up right before my eyes! I enjoy spending each and everyday with him. He has been a Daddy's boy lately and pretty mean to his mama. However, I am thankful he has an incredible Daddy to look up to! Lance is Dallas' hero for sure. Sometimes when I'm getting him dressed in a button up shirt, he asks me, "work?" He thinks he's going to work like his Daddy!! As I'm patting his back to sleep tonight as I do every night, he told me, "Thank you." That's all it takes to remind me how special he is to me and how he has me wrapped around his little finger!! I am so blessed and thankful God is letting me borrow this precious gift to raise as my own!! I think I remember a quote that goes a little something like this, "Let him sleep, for when he wakes he will move mountains." The picture I attached reminded me of that little saying when I took it! Time for beddy bye, we have an exciting day of hanging out with friends and family! We plan to see the Easter bunny, color eggs and make little bunny sugar cookies! Pics to come :)

Proud Wife

I'm assuming this will be written all together with pictures at the bottom from what Jennifer told me, but as of late...it's blogging from my phone or not at all! So here goes the first phone blog. It's contributed to my hard working baby daddy! I am so fortunate to have a husband who actually and honestly provides 100% for his family! We have an understanding for each other, he doesn't want to stay home with these crazy kids and I don't want to go to work everyday with the responsibility that I have to feed, cloth, and house 5 people! Whew, stresses me out just thinking about it! While he is working, he strives for the best. He enjoys receiving the accolades that come with a job well done. I prefer monetary bonuses, but Lancipoo is all about trophies & awards! Lol, he is too funny and has come so far, I am nothing but honored to be his wife :) I support and encourage him the way I should, as well as keep him grounded. He is so head strong and driven, it's no wonder he is incredible in the car business. I feel such a joy in my heart getting to accompany the man I love to fancy dinners for his achievements and recognitions! This last Thursday we went to our annual 3 Forks dinner compliments of Van Tuyle. Mr. Smith received an award for being 5th in the dfw area in Internet sales! He sold 213 cars!! Rock on! We also won the first raffle for $100 gift card to Capital Grille. Neither Lance or myself have heard of this, but we are anxious to try something new!! I am all smiles :) I hope to continue to be his rock and reach our goals together. I tell him how proud of him I am and the life we are making! I love our family, and wouldn't change it for the world! I have learned so much in my short 7.5years with Lance. The 2 of us together are unstoppable and our dreams are within reach! Living the good life I tell ya! ;-) we are so incredibly blessed and give thanks to the good Lord above!! Amen!
